Statement of UFE and CESI on BEFIT (Business in Europe: Framework for Income Taxation)

The European Commission has prepared a proposal for a directive for an EU-wide common corporate tax system (BEFIT – “Business in Europe: Framework for Income Taxation”).

It expects this to promote the competitiveness of the internal market, but also to reduce compliance costs for companies. The Commission proposal should also lead to a reduction of the administrative burden for the tax authorities of the Member States.

UFE and CESI gave a joint statement to the European Commissions consultation on Business in Europe.

UFE view on the Revision of the Union Customs Code

UFE welcomes the Commission’s proposal for a revision of the Customs
regulations. The past period has shown that the customs environment has
changed significantly. The post Covid era has resulted in new consumer habits.

UFE opinion on EC’s proposal
