40th Commitee

The 40 th Committee Congress in Brussels in 2000 took place with the Belgium Minister of Finance, Didier Reynders, and the EU Commissioner competent for budget and combating abuse, Dr. Michaele Schreyer, as well as the General Director Michael van den Abeele participating. Three new member unions joined UFE: two Danish tax unions and the Hungarian tax union (ADOSZT). UFE now organised 38 financial unions (tax and customs) from 16 European countries with 400,000 members.

44th Commitee in Budapest

Very high commitment was demonstrated by the Hungarian colleagues under the guidance of the Vice President of UFE Gabor Holecz with the organisation of the 44th Congress of the Committee of UFE in Budapest in 2008. Thus, UFE, with the Hungarian Minister of Finance participating, was able to hold its conference at the Hungarian parliament.
