Adaption of the name of UFE

In order to clarify the wide representation claim, the name “Union of Finance Officers in Europe” was changed into “Union of Finance Personnel in Europe” with an amendment of the statutes in 1975, retaining the proven abbreviation “UFE”, which is the same in all languages (with the exception of Finish). Therewith, it was clear that UFE not only rep-resents officers, but also employees and workers of the financial administrations.

45th Commitee in Lissabon

At the 45th Committee Congress in Lisbon, scheduled new elections were on the agenda. For the President of UFE Dieter Ondracek, who did not run for office again for reasons of age, Serge Colin (France) was elected the new President of UFE.

49th Commitee in Dublin

At the 49th UFE Committee Congress on the 21th September in Dublin the Committee elected a new Presiding Board, the chairmen of the UFE Tax and Customs Commissions and the auditors.
